Supplier Due Diligence
A GREATER DEGREE OF INFORMATION
Due diligence is a crucial part of finding a wind tunnel manufacturer.
When we perform supplier due diligence, we assess whether the manufacturer has the necessary resources, production capacity, and expertise to deliver the required services.
Our supplier due diligence is based on a thorough investigation using a specific checklist tailored to our field.
We perform the following checks:
-
Company History and Current Status
-
Verification of Insurance and License Documentation
-
Financial Stability Assessment
-
Verification of Recent Financial Statements
-
Quality and Environmental Management Systems.)
Manufacturers may have management systems accreditation such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. If the supplier claims to meet these standards, we verify their registration.
-
Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethical Sourcing Policy
A company’s reputation can be severely damaged by association with unreliable suppliers, so we thoroughly check the manufacturer’s credentials.
-
Operational Practices
We seek to understand how the potential manufacturer conducts business, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. We verify if anyone in the organization has been subject to legal proceedings related to improper payments, bribery, misuse of public property, accounting fraud, or regulatory enforcement. We also check if the supplier has been involved in any lawsuits or investigations in the past five years.
-
Previous Projects of the Manufacturer
We verify the quality of their wind tunnels and gain an overview of their technology architecture and security controls. We also assess payment practices.
